FAQ

Is this is a residential camp? Why residential?

Yes, this is a residential camp experience! The three nights and four days on campus is a big part of the camp: we experience a college-like setting, eat our meals together, have plenty time to talk about leadership and values, enjoy the dorm and campus, and get to play lacrosse under the lights each night. Players: It’s so much fun to stay over! Parents: We have coaches who have run dormitories at leading independent schools and who know how to ensure kids — all of them — are safe and feeling at home. We also have a nursing and training staff on campus and/or on call.

Whom and what ages is this camp serving?

The camp targets Baltimore City and Baltimore area boys aged 11-13 (as of August 1) who have played at least one season of lacrosse. The camp is open to all local players in that age range but especially is geared to racially and ethnically diverse student-athletes who in other lacrosse settings may be one of one or one of a few.

What is the emphasis of the camp?

This most important! The camp is a lacrosse and leadership camp focusing on the whole person, not just the athlete.

Are there selection criteria?

Campers are selected in part for their demonstrated interest in the leadership as well as lacrosse elements. Some attention is paid to balance of player positions, eg, having all positions represented — attack, midfield, defense, goalie — in order to facilitate scrimmaging.

What we offer

Read what parents are saying!

“What an amazing experience for my child! He had nothing but good things to say from the time I dropped him off for camp and when I picked him up from camp to come home.”

“He’s definitely seems to be more confident. He’s been more focused and on his school work, taking initiative to get assignments done before the deadline and getting the most out of his sports.”
